Brusha Brusha Brushaaa

Brusha Brusha Brusha...this quote probably comes into my head at least once a day when I am brushing my teeth and I have to fit the urge to jump around like Jan from Grease whilst singing it through a toothpaste full mouth....just me.....okay then...
We all know that brushing our teeth is important. Leaving the house without brushing your teeth to me would be like leaving the house without clothes on...you just wouldn't do it. So if we are so conscious about brushing our teeth...why are we not encouraging our children more?
New stats that I saw yesterday have found that A THIRD of children don't brush their teeth....A THIRD!?!?! That is crazy to me! Bub's is just cutting his first tooth now and I am already looking at what tooth brush to get and how best to brush that little one tooth he will soon have. Why, oh why is there a third of children out there who aren't brushing their teeth!?!
There is so much technology out there today to help if you child is being difficult around brushing. Here are just a few apps and tools you can use if you Child or Bubba is being a pickle with brushing or you just need a little support:

  • Free aquafresh brushing app and info : http://www.aquafresh.co.uk/kids-products/aquafresh-app.desktop.html
  • Brush baby - these are great if you have a small baby that is an early teether and wouldn't be able to hold a tooth brush or let you brush their tooth. They have some great tools and tips here: http://www.brushbaby.co.uk/
  • Oral B have a fantastic Disney app that times the bushing and incorporates music and games into brushing time. I love this and will 100% be looking into this when Bubba is older - http://www.oralb.com/stages/disney-timer-app
This is just a handful of information sites and tools that are available to encourage kids to brush their teeth so I just can;t understand why a third of children still don't do it. More to the point, I can't believe that a third of parent are not doing more to encourage good oral hygiene.

Have you got any great tips on how to get kids to brush?
